- Updating the Sat Nav should be a task done by Jaguar at little or no extra cost during servicing. That's my opinion. It all depends what you mean by a little - the last disc produced to fit the x type and s type is the 2012/13 disc. A main dealer will supply one for £160.
- Map Care is included within our standard three-year manufacturer's warranty for our Touch Pro systems, providing you with free map updates that are available to download for the duration of the warranty period. Hi Guys I am a newbie here and just acquired a 05 S Type Jaguar and am having sat nav problems.
The car came with a built in Sat nav I think its Navtech. I'm having numerous problems.
When I turn on the Nav menue the screen seems slow to download and various icons (or at least one icon ie postcode slow to appear on screen) Once I have gone one step further and place in a postcode it can take ages for the green bar to fill up I then get occasional messages telling me 'no signal in this area' or couldn't recognse postcode, 'not able to give voice navigation in this area etc etc.
Can't figure out whether its the inbuilt computer got problems or its a new disc upgrade needed. I find it hard to believe its just an upgraded disc needed I live in an area near Liverpool where there should not be any problems with signal etc.
I would appreciate any help you can give me thanks.
